Sunset’s HIPAA compliant and state-of-the-art teleradiology system accepts and distributes studies from any modality, server or PACS at lightning fast speed. Our expert network and applications IT staff are responsive 24/7 for seamless integration and support.  Sunset’s servers are co-located in a full-service data center providing 24/7 security, support, fire protection, redundant power and internet access.  Sunset Radiology, Inc.’s data center provides virtually unlimited (“burstable”) upload and download speed.  Sunset’s radiologists use 2 & 3 MP (mega pixel) diagnostic, medical grade monitors for their interpretations, and 2 MP color monitors for demographic data and color Doppler interpretation.  Sunset’s elegant RIS automatically generates report templates for our radiologists that include extracted DICOM data, including facility name, patient name, medical record number and demographics, type of exam, exam date and time, and referring physician name.  Radiologists then modify and type in or dictate additional findings and conclusions as needed, using voice recognition software.  Reports are automatically distributed to the referring physicians.  Sunset’s excellent image networking system is connectivity problem-free.

Reliability is critical which is why our HIPAA compliant server based teleradiology system features redundant fail-over protection, advanced case routing, report archiving and integrated voice recognition.  It can accept studies from all modalities, servers and/or PACS.  Sunset has invested heavily in state of the art distributed and redundant “push” technology applications as well as high-speed communication backbone to facilitate contemporaneous and unimpeded telemedicine practice of its physicians.
